My name is Steven E. Darden. I also go by the name wireboss. I began my particular style of art at the age of ten. I used art as means of escape from an abusive household. Art for me at that age was also a way of having something of my own, that no one could take away from me. My visions for my creations, come to me from everywhere. Nature esspecially. I believe that inspiration is everywhere for all of us to take part in. I have also always been motivated to create by the physics of movement, this is another reason why I began designing at such a young age. Once I found out that store bought action figures were not very durable, and did not move the way that I wanted them to move, I decided to make my own action figures. It's been close to nineteen years now since I first twisted a wire. I now bring my work to everyone, from my fellow artists to collectors of all ages. My collectors, recognize the fact that they have an original, durable, articulate and handmade work of art when they have purchased my work. Each piece is made with love, frustration and blood sweat and tears. Art is also a meditation for me, I hope that you have enjoyed viewing these pieces of me.
