Jeff Hughart, originally from southern California, began painting in 2002 and is a self-taught and self-representing artist and who primarily works in acrylics. Jeff sells his paintings in gallery shows, on his website and by appointment from his private studio in Bonners Ferry, Idaho. He has sold close to one thousand paintings so far.

He is pleased to have hundreds of sophisticated collectors from around the world. They tell him that his paintings are quite addictive. His paintings are described as raw, emotional, colorful and energetic. No doubt that they are influenced by his punk rock past. His paintings are also influenced by the work of some of his favorite artists—Basquiat, Picasso, Dubuffet, Twombly, Andy Warhol, Jackson Pollack, Lucien Freud and a great number of emerging artists from around the country.
